  2. Re-enacting the content of a box

    Performance for three dancers and a reading voice

    This durational performance is a result of my collaboration with artist Jeff Prokash, who asked me to translate a graphic score into a sound composition. Bertolt Brecht’s FBI file was reduced by Prokash to handwritten elements in the form of redactions and marginal notations. I translated this collection of marks into an orchestraded performance for three dancers and a reading voice. The dancers were reacting to sound composition they could hear through the headphones. While enganging into an active listening, they were translating sound into movement, activating differents spaces of the gallery as living sculptures.
