In this work, I follow the left hand in the sign language choreography from my favorite dance scene of Pina Baush. In the scene, a dancer translates a song “The man I love” into movement. Through the act of drawing, I try to follow that movement. I focus on the left hand only - as if less important, the left hand never speaks on its own, often remains still, and accompanies the right.
